Ingredients
2 C. self rising flour
5 T. cold butter
1 1/3 C. grated cheddar cheese
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. dried parsley
1 C. milk
1 large egg
Instructions
Add the flour to a bowl, cut the butter into the flour using a pastry blender or two forks till it is about pea size. Stir in the cheese and seasonings. Whisk together the milk and egg and pour into the bowl, stirring to combine all ingredients. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray and drop the dough by large spoonful's onto the baking sheet. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 20-22 minutes, until lightly browned on top. Meanwhile, make the butter for brushing.
Combine 3 T. melted butter, good pinch dried parsley, 1/8 tsp. garlic powder and a pinch of salt.
Once the biscuits come out of the oven, brush the tops of them with the melted butter.
