Ingredients
2 C. self rising flour
1/4 C. sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 large apple, peeled and grated
1/2 stick of cold butter, grated
2, 1 oz. boxes of raisins
3/4 C. milk
2 T. butter, melted (for brushing after baking)
Instructions
In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar and cinnamon. Stir in the grated apple, butter and raisins. Stir in the milk and mix just till the dough comes together then turn out onto a floured surface and pull the dough together into a ball then gently press it down to 1/2" thickness and cut with a biscuit cutter. Place them on a greased sheet pan, making sure the biscuits are touching each other. Repeat with remaining dough. Bake in a 425 degree oven for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, make the glaze.
1/4 C. powdered sugar
1 T. milk
Stir to combine
Once the biscuits are done, brush them with the melted butter then spoon some of the glaze over each biscuit.
