Ingredients
16 oz. #93 shell pasta
3 lbs. ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp. basil
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp.. salt
15 oz. can crushed tomatoes
1/2 can water (use the tomato can to measure)
6 oz. tomato paste
1/4 C. grated parmesan cheese
1 C. shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 C. grated mozzarella cheese
Instructions
Cook the pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, begin browning the meat in a large skillet over medium high heat. About 3/4 of the way through browning add the onion and continue cooking till the meat is cooked through, drain well. Reduce the heat to medium and stir in the garlic along with the next 5 ingredients. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, water and tomato paste. Cook for 10 minutes. Stir in the parmesan and cheddar cheese till melted. Drain the pasta well and stir into the skillet, combining well. Taste for additional salt if needed then top with the mozzarella cheese before serving.
