Ingredients
2 T. butter
1 T. bacon grease
4 1/2 C. chopped fresh cabbage
1 C. chopped onion
10.5 oz. can cream of chicken soup
2 T. small curd cottage cheese or 2 T. mayo
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
pinch of paprika
1 C. shredded cheddar cheese
1 C. french fried onions, plus more for topping
Instructions
Melt the butter and bacon grease in a skillet over med. high heat. Add the cabbage and onion and cook for 5-6 minutes to soften. Put the mixture in a mixing bowl and stir in the remaining ingredients. Combine well and pour in a 9x9 baking dish that is lightly greased. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 35 minutes. Top with more french fried onions and return to the oven for 5-6 minutes till browned.
